A rich roasted coffee and chocolate nose.  A smooth roasted malt with notes of dark chocolate and coffee coat the tongue and leave you with a nice coffee aftertaste.

ABV: 5.8%

Color: Black with a thin tan head.

Sweet roasted malt nose. Roasted coffee, burnt and little cocoa with no hop presents.

Recommendation: Worth a try.

Rating: 7/10

ABV: 9%

Color: Black with a caramel head.

A sweet, malty, hint of alcohol and a roasted coffee-like nose.  The flavor is like the nose but has not taste of alcohol at all and a sweet flavor that says prunes almost.  A very full flavored beer at 9% that could be a session beer if it weren’t for the higher ABV.

Recommendation: Seek this one out.

James Squire Porter

ABV: 5%

Color: Dark brown almost black.

Full nose of coffee and chocolate. The nose is so rich and smooth then you drink it and it tastes like burnt coffee and scortched chocolate on the back of the tongue. I would really enjoy this if it didn’t taste burnt.

Recommendation: Try a bottle but don’t buy a six pack.

Rating: 5/10

ABV: 5.5%

Color: Black with thin head.

Full nose of malt at first no hops but a hint of hops pokes out at the end. Roasted malt flavors with a hint of what reminds me of a chocolate taste. Not a heavy beer at all nice and light for a dark beer.

Recommendation: Seek this one out.

Rating: 9/10

ABV: 5.73%

Color: Dark brown almost black.

Mild coco smell and not much of anything else. Wow the worst flavor I have tasted so bad I do not even know what to say it tastes like but not something I want in my mouth. Very disappointing poured out all of the 1 liter bottle of this.

Recommendation: Do not buy or drink.
