2005 Chimay Premier (Red)

July 18, 2007

ABV: 7%

Color: Dark amber with a thick white head.

Sweet malty smell. Sweet taste that is not too sweet has a nice grainy malt and mild hops background, very well balanced. Has a nice year and a half age on it that has not done anything bad to the flavor or smell, since this is a beer that can be aged a vertical tasting would be nice to do to see how it changes through time.

Recommendation: Seek it out and age a few.

Rating: 10/10
